Do you know what types of floor drains there are? (1)
1. Air-sealed floor drain
One feature of the air-sealed floor drain is that it can prevent backflow when there is negative pressure in the sewer pipe. Therefore, it is often used in places such as kitchens and balconies that are not usually used and temporarily drained. However, when installing the air-sealed floor drain silicone nozzle, it is best to use an apron or a raw material tape to clamp it to prevent the silicone nozzle from falling off or the floor drain core being pushed up.
2. Shallow water seal floor drain
The shallow water seal floor drain has the longest history. Its biggest defect is that if it is not used for a few days, the water trap will cause the odor and pests of the sewer pipe to drive straight into the shallow water seal because it does not store water. It needs to be used frequently. In addition, the high drainage pressure of the floor has caused the water seal to be damaged and the shallow water seal floor drain has gradually been covered.
3. Wide mouth water seal floor drain
The wide-mouth water-sealed floor drain is an upgraded version of the deep-water-sealed floor drain. This wide-mouth water-sealed floor drain is designed with a single drain outlet, which can achieve fast drainage without clogging, and the water seal can block odor and insects 100%. At present, the price of this kind of floor drain is higher.
4. Buckle the water to seal the floor drain
The principle of the cup floor drain is that a piece protrudes from the back of the lid and the inside of the floor drain body forms a water seal to deodorize. However, because the water seal is very shallow, the effective water seal that really works is only about half a centimeter. As long as the toilet upstairs is flushed, the positive and negative pressure in the pipe will destroy the water in the floor drain. The odor can enter the room unimpeded, and this kind of floor drain cannot effectively deodorize. And because of its own design flaws, the floor drain is easy to block and drains very slowly. (Remarks: The National Building Drainage Code expressly stipulates that this kind of buckled and shallow water-sealed floor drain must be eliminated from prohibited projects and used for decoration).
