What is the difference between a shower floor drain and an ordinary floor drain and how to deodorize an ordinary floor drain?

Bringing more green lighting to your urban and rural areas, heading for the brighter future.

The difference between shower floor drain and ordinary floor drain:

The first is the difference in the ground drain core. The general floor drain is usually a closed drain, there is no way to open it, and its function is only the discharge of waste water. The second is the difference in the installation location. The floor drain of the washing machine is generally installed against the wall for the purpose of draining the washing machine. The common floor drain is usually located in the middle of the room to facilitate the discharge of indoor water.
Shower floor drains and ordinary floor drains are two types of floor drains that are divided according to different functions. The middle part of the shower floor drain is special. In order to match the use of the washing machine, it can be opened at the floor drain core, so that the drain pipe can be inserted directly to facilitate the washing machine to drain.

How to deodorize common floor drains?

1. The water-sealed floor drain needs to be filled with water regularly. If the water-sealed floor drain is installed, attention should be paid to prevent the water seal from drying up during use, and water must be filled regularly. If it is not used for a long time, it is best to seal the floor drain with a lid to reduce the evaporation of water and also play a role in sealing.

2. Self-sealing floor drains need to be regularly checked for faults. Self-sealing floor drains are no better than water-sealing floor drains, and their sealing is often achieved by mechanical devices such as springs and magnets. Like springs, their elasticity tends to weaken as time goes by; magnets weaken their magnetic properties due to the adsorption of iron in the water. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check whether the performance of the self-sealing floor drain is good, and if there is a problem, it needs to be replaced in time.

3. The bathroom must be equipped with a deodorant floor drain. Deodorant floor drains are divided into two types: seal and water seal. The seal relies on the attraction of magnets to attract the lid to isolate the odor. The water seal is a self-bend with water storage, which prevents the smell of the sewer from returning through the sealing effect of water, and the sealing effect is better.

4. Try to choose a floor drain with a deep water storage curve, and the floor drain with a water seal height of 5CM has the best deodorization effect. Once the water in the water-sealed floor drain storage bend is dry, it will not be able to deodorize, so in the dry season, use more clean water to sprinkle the floor drain.

5. Since the floor drain is to be pre-buried in cement and should not be replaced, it is recommended to choose an all-copper floor drain. For stainless steel, choose thicker zinc to avoid rusting. PVC is easy to age and do not use.

6. The washing machine should use a special washing machine floor drain. This floor drain has a rotation control and can be rotated and closed when not in use. Do not use a water seal that is too deep in the washing machine, otherwise the water flow is too fast and it will easily overflow.
